I am late about two or three weeks now but, with everything going on, I have not felt like posting much.
I am grateful for every opportunity to talk and meet with people willing to be part of Coffee with John (CWJ). This last round was no exception. I am grateful for the friendship, the talk, and the experience.
My takeaway, you never know who will be part of your life. This friend is someone I didn’t think would be a part of my network of friends for a variety of reasons. We first met when we were 15, dated briefly, and parted ways shortly after I had abruptly ended the relationship. During our high school years, we didn’t really talk or interact at all. We didn’t cultivate a friendship until after years later when we met up again. We are not the closest of friends but we have supported each other and kept in contact throughout the years.
The circumstances might be different in this case but I have many people now that I am honored to have in my network of friends that I honestly could not have imagined years back calling friends.
You just never know. Likewise, some people that you thought would be part of your circle of friends, are sadly not part of that circle for whatever reasons. Even then, you can’t dismiss who will come back to your life. Some people are just meant to be part of your life one way or another.
